| About Our Kennel | |
| At Purple Sage Cotons, our goal is to produce healthy, well-socialized puppies that are equally happy in the performance ring, as companions, or for use in pet-assisted therapy. Our puppies are purposely raised in a family environment so they become used to the noise and movement of youngsters. They are handled daily and we make an effort to expose them to a variety of sounds and smells. When the pups are 7 weeks old, each is individually tested by a professional for the purpose of recording their dominant personality traits. This "personality evaluation" helps us at Purple Sage to match the right puppy to the ideal placement. Because Cotons are companion animals, they thrive on human contact and can become despondent if they are left alone in a kennel every day. Therefore, we look for homes where our puppies are ensured of loving, constant human interaction. Our concern does not end with puppy's placement. Coton puppies want to please and will try to adapt to the needs of their new owners. However, in case there are some bumps on the road to complete happiness, we are here to help with any training, nutrition, or integration issues that arise. We will do our best to ensure that each puppy becomes a confident, stable member of its new family. |
